Here are 5 "hidden" ingredients that might be crashing your snack party: 1. High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS) The master of disguise. It’s a cheap, highly processed sweetener linked to increased inflammation. If it’s near the top of the list, put it back on the shelf. 2. Hydrogenated Oils (Trans Fats) Used to keep products shelf-stable for years, but they aren't so kind to your heart. Look for "partially hydrogenated" on the label—that’s code for trans fats you want to avoid. 3. Artificial Colors (Red 40, Yellow 5) Often derived from petroleum, these are added just for "the look."
